Description

The team designs, builds, delivers and maintains a reusable solution that simplifies interoperability between diagnostics systems, including the company and non-the company instruments, LIS, HIS and edge systems.

The goal is to cut development complexity, time to market, cost of ownership and quality issues for internal customers in the company Diagnostics R&D.

The company is one of the company's Agile organisations and is committed to diverse, inclusive teams.

The role supports the design, development, deployment and validation of new connectivity solutions and keeps the current deployed base running across the company.

The company has more than 100,000 employees worldwide, and its products treat more than 26 million people and run over 30 billion tests.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions and complex initiatives, and influence decisions in your area.
  • Work with business and architecture stakeholders to deliver solutions for customers and turn constraints into feasible, efficient designs.
  • Build your team and lead it, in line with the company Values and leadership capabilities.
  • Inspire the team to create transformative solutions and shape how they are prioritised and adopted across the wider organisation, so customer solutions lead the market and support the company Diagnostics Vision.
  • Lead the adoption of ASDLC and ways of working in your team while keeping quality and good software practice high.
  • Mentor colleagues and help the team improve continuously and deliver good software efficiently.
  • Show a customer-centric mindset.
  • Demonstrate the company Operating Principles: put patients first, follow the science, act as one team, embrace differences, accelerate learning, simplify radically, make impact now and think long term.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare and laboratory integration standards such as HL7, POCT1-A, ASTM and LIS/HIS, and of connectivity solutions for diagnostics environments.
  • Proven hands-on C# and.NET development experience, with strong skills in software design patterns, object-oriented design, TDD/BDD, unit and integration testing, and maintainable code.
  • Experience with instrument connectivity protocols and interoperability in general.
  • A track record of owning the full SDLC, from requirements to deployment, including integrating AI tools into development workflows and understanding cloud and frontend technologies.
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring developers, designing robust components, and guiding architecture and AI strategy with product managers and stakeholders.
  • A degree in computer science or a related field, plus either 6 years with a Bachelor's or 4 years with a Master's.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Fluent English and Spanish, for agile, cross-functional collaboration.
  • You communicate effectively in English with people from different profiles and cultures.
