Description

The company is an embedded semiconductor provider serving automotive, industrial, infrastructure and IoT markets, with more than 21,000 engineers across over 30 countries.

As a Senior Staff Test Engineer, you set the test direction for the test development group and work largely on your own judgment. You map long-term ATE plans, design scalable hardware and software test platforms, and work with Product, Quality, Design and Validation engineering. You take test strategy from first product definition through global production release for high-performance AI power products.

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical direction for next-generation ATE test solutions that support new product introduction, quality and capability work.
  • Design and govern standard baseline software frameworks and advanced hardware architectures that grow capability and efficiency across the global test organization.
  • Lead quality planning, run detailed hardware and software architecture reviews, and set design-for-test guidelines for complex multi-die and power module products.
  • Own qualification, characterization and cross-platform correlation for new power delivery technologies.
  • Work with senior leaders in Product Engineering, Design and Operations to run smooth production ramps and global manufacturing releases.
  • Provide executive-level technical oversight on production yield, cost reduction and priority customer return fixes.
  • Mentor Staff, Senior and Junior engineers and build a culture of technical excellence, ongoing learning and disciplined engineering.
  • Manage third-party relationships, foundry partners and OSAT technical teams so their work matches the company's roadmap and delivery dates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in electrical or computer engineering or a related field, plus 10+ years of semiconductor experience with a record at Staff or Senior Staff level. A Master's or Ph.D. with 8+ years is accepted instead.
  • 10+ years building automated test solutions on high-end ATE platforms, with deep knowledge of platforms such as Advantest V93K, COHU Diamondx, SPEA DOT800 or ETS364.
  • 8+ years of hands-on ATE test development for complex analog, digital, high-power and mixed-signal ICs. Direct experience with high-performance digital power or multi-die modules is highly desirable.
  • Expert in C++ and Python, with a history of building production-grade reusable code templates, test APIs and automation libraries.
  • Extensive experience validating and debugging IC chips or power circuits and collecting characterization data with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and source measure units.
  • Skilled in high-performance ATE loadboard and probe card PCB layout, including parasitic reduction, signal integrity and high-current power delivery.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a record of influencing cross-functional roadmaps and driving results with external technical teams.
  • Able to travel 0-10% to support global manufacturing and vendor sites.

Conditions

Expected annual pay range is $133,00 - $166,500, with bonus eligibility. The final offer depends on geographic location, relevant experience and the candidate's skillset.

The company is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that bars discrimination on any legally protected basis.

The company works with dual-use technology under U.S. export controls, so it may need a U.S. government export license before sharing technology with certain people, and whether to apply is its sole decision.

Benefits

  • Elective benefits include medical, a health savings account (with an eligible medical plan), dental, vision, health and/or dependent care flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, life insurance, AD&D and pet insurance.
  • Benefited employees also receive company-paid life insurance, AD&D, long-term disability and short-term medical coverage, paid sick time, paid holidays and accrued paid vacation.
  • New hires attend a benefits orientation.
  • A competitive benefits package sits alongside salary, with details shared during hiring.
