The company is looking for a senior solution architect to link client and market requirements with its development and integration delivery teams.
You make sure proposed solutions are designed, built and integrated well, keeping quality, consistency, scalability and long-term maintainability in view.
You bring technical credibility across the sales cycle and turn customer needs and commercial commitments into realistic solutions the delivery teams can carry out.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical side of responses to RFPs, RFIs and tenders: solution design, technical documents, architecture diagrams, effort estimates and risk identification.
Hand won opportunities over to the development and integration teams in a clear, well-documented way, keeping the technical intent and the commitments made to the client intact.
Own the solution architecture from bid handover through delivery, so the result still matches the agreed client requirements.
Work with delivery teams to check technical feasibility, making sure scope, cost, timelines and technical assumptions are realistic.
Design end-to-end architectures covering applications, integrations, data and infrastructure that are sound, cost-effective, scalable and in line with enterprise standards.
Design robust integrations using APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns and data flows that connect client systems, internal platforms and third-party services.
Define and promote architecture standards, design patterns and technical guardrails across development and integration projects.
Guide development and integration teams on architecture decisions and run design and architecture reviews across the project lifecycle.
Spot technical risks early, recommend ways to mitigate them, and protect non-functional requirements such as performance, security, scalability and maintainability.
Help evaluate and select integration platforms, middleware and development tooling against enterprise architecture standards.
Encourage consistent architecture, reusable patterns and knowledge sharing across several development and integration projects.
Serve as the client's trusted technical contact during delivery, covering architecture, scope, technical decisions and change requests.
Requirements
Extensive experience in solution architecture, software architecture or technical leadership in software development and systems integration.
Strong knowledge of application architecture, API and integration design, and modern engineering practices including microservices, event-driven architecture and CI/CD.
Experience turning business and commercial requirements into concrete, feasible technical solutions and delivery plans.
Experience providing architecture guidance or governance across several projects and development teams.
Solid understanding of non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, security, reliability and maintainability.
Experience with integration platforms and patterns such as ESB, iPaaS, API gateways and message brokers.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and modelling approaches such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, UML or the C4 model.
Ability to work well with business and commercial stakeholders as well as technical teams.
Relevant certifications, such as TOGAF or cloud and integration certifications from Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or MuleSoft, are an advantage but not required.
You build strong links between clients, commercial stakeholders, architects and engineering teams.
You turn commercial requirements and commitments into practical, achievable technical solutions.
You give clear technical direction while letting development and integration teams take ownership.
You balance a strong focus on quality and long-term maintainability with a practical approach to delivery.
You handle changing requirements well and find the right balance between client expectations, technical feasibility and delivery constraints.
You explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
