Senior Software Engineer

Description

This is a senior software engineer role based at 811 Excellence Dr., Bentonville, AR 72716.

You will work in collaborative engineering teams that deliver features and models across services, APIs, user interfaces, and ML components.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a defined feature or model from build through release, working with your engineering team.
• Carry out implementation, iteration, testing, and ongoing support for assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, and ML model components.
• Think like a product owner and tie your work to platform, system, and domain goals.
• Write clean, efficient, reliable code in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
• Run the full software lifecycle, including CI/CD deployments, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and upkeep.
• Write scripts that automate repetitive work and build telemetry features on your own.
• Review code structure and help manage defects and debugging.
• Connect AI agents and ML components to internal and external APIs to make software smarter.
• Use GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot to move faster and try new ideas.
• Apply object-oriented principles and documentation-driven coding so code stays modular, maintainable, and consistent.
• Turn high-level designs into detailed designs using mock screens, pseudo code, and functional logic.
• Weigh trade-offs and design scalable, secure, maintainable systems that meet company standards.
• Join design reviews and make sure suitable design patterns and principles are used.
• Keep learning, mentor peers, and share knowledge with the team.
• Perform complex maintenance and track application performance with suitable metrics and tools.
• Keep projects on schedule and on milestone through program reporting, CI/CD tools, and program logs.
• Help deliver high-quality, reliable systems through proactive monitoring, testing, and continuous integration.

Requirements

• Hold a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
• Or hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of those fields, plus 3 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Have experience coding in object-oriented languages, including Java and J2EE.
• Have experience with web frameworks such as Angular JS and Angular 2.
• Have experience building mobile front-end interfaces for Android and iOS.
• Have experience using Git bash to maintain and track application code in GitHub.
• Have experience unit testing each component with JUnit and TestNG.
• Have experience developing and debugging in integrated development tools such as Eclipse and IntelliJ.
• Have experience designing and testing relational data systems, including SQL and DB2.
• Have experience deploying applications to all platforms with Docker.
• Have experience implementing design patterns using software development methodologies, practices, and principles.
• Have experience designing and building web services with REST and SOAP.
• No minimum amount of experience is set for these required skills.

Conditions

Base pay is $90,000 to $180,000 per year.
