Senior Software Engineer

Description

The company builds legal data intelligence software. Its AI-driven cloud platform helps law firms, corporations and government agencies sort large, complex sets of information for litigation, investigations, regulatory reviews and data breach response.

The Service Auth team builds AI-driven authentication and authorization services that control access across the platform. The work centers on cloud-native capabilities that protect customer data, support safe customer-built features and run reliably at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Create and run the next generation of AI-driven authentication and authorization services.
• Build durable cloud-native platform features that control access throughout the platform.
• Protect customer data through platform designs that are secure and scale well.
• Give customers a safe base for building their own features on the platform.
• Keep services dependable for legal workflows that cannot afford downtime or errors.
• Work through hard technical problems and design systems that scale and stay reliable.
• Guide engineering direction by influence and collaboration on high-impact projects.

Requirements

• Required: A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Required: At least 5 years of software engineering work, focused on cloud-native or distributed systems.
• Required: A solid grasp of current software design principles and cloud-native architecture.
• Required: A record of delivering complex solutions and taking them through to stable production.
• Required: Experience with distributed systems that serve many tenants.
• Required: Experience raising code quality through design reviews, code reviews and mentoring.
• Required: Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability and incident response.
• Required: Clear communication and effective work across functions.
• Preferred: Experience building full-stack systems at scale with React and.NET.
• Preferred: Familiarity with performance tuning, trade-offs in scaling, and security built in by default.
• Preferred: Experience in high-scale or regulated environments.
• Preferred: Hands-on use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code.

Conditions

The base salary range for this role is $126,000 to $190,000.

Final pay depends on factors such as experience depth, skill set, qualifications and internal pay equity. The company does not typically offer the top of the range, so there is room for future salary growth.
