Description

The company makes industrial software that more than 90% of leading industrial companies rely on.

The Core AI Services team builds the platform services, agentic workflows and public APIs that AI features across the product portfolio and partner ecosystem depend on. The work covers secure, reliable, cloud-native systems, and the team operates with a startup-like pace inside an agile Scrum setup.

The company has more than 6,500 employees in over 40 countries, and its global R&D group of over 2,000 developers works on more than 75 industrial automation and engineering products. AI and cloud sit at the centre of its strategy, and it holds over 150 patents.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
  • Create secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs for internal engineering teams and external partners.
  • Take features from design to production, owning code quality, performance and system reliability.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across data pipelines, orchestration layers and service APIs.
  • Build strong security controls, identity management and privacy-by-design into every AI service.
  • Take part in design reviews, code reviews and technical discussions, and promote sound engineering practice.
  • Support and mentor junior and mid-level developers, encouraging continuous learning and new ideas.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8+ years of software engineering experience across the full stack, with strong cloud-native backend skills in.NET and C# a plus.
  • Hands-on experience deploying containerised applications on Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, testing and full lifecycle management.
  • Strong knowledge of API security (OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC) and data privacy practice.
  • Confident use of modern AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to speed up daily work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a record of analysing complex technical problems and delivering scalable solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams spread across global R&D locations.
  • A proven ability to mentor colleagues and raise team code quality.

Conditions

Full-time employment.

The working arrangement will be confirmed during the hiring process. Most roles are hybrid, with on-site time of 50% of working hours at a local office, though some positions are fully office-based and certain customer or market roles may be remote.

Benefits

  • UK: flexible benefits fund, emergency leave days, adoption leave, 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension, life cover, private medical insurance, parental leave and an education assistance programme.
  • If the role is filled in more than one country, the UK benefits apply to the primary location. Benefits vary by country, but packages are similarly comprehensive.
