Senior Software Engineer, Incentive Offers

Description

The company is building AI that makes the physical world respond to people, starting with parking, mobility and real estate and expanding into retail and hospitality. The aim is to remove repetitive steps from everyday life and let recognition open up access, comfort and a sense of belonging, with millions of members already using the parking experience.

This role leads the design and build of the core incentive and rewards platform. The engineer will own the backend and connect real-world vision signals to personalized member experiences, working on large projects from start to finish and helping others grow.

You would join a team of product leaders and engineers working across an ecosystem of parking, mobility and real estate technology, and help keep the culture open, with every idea judged on its merits as the organization grows.

Current stack: TypeScript, React, Scala (mainly), Java (limited), MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS, Git and GitHub, Claude Code, Copilot on GitHub, and Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Build the backend services that run the incentive and rewards infrastructure
• Create real-time event streaming systems that process and respond to high-volume signals from the physical world
• Build scalable services for compliance and preference management so messages are delivered correctly across verticals
• Design intelligent decisioning logic that uses user context and profiles to personalize experiences
• Build service architectures that handle product eligibility, partner setup and budget limits
• Implement attribution and measurement systems that track user engagement and campaign effectiveness
• Scale and maintain identity systems that link digital tokens to real-world identifiers
• Work with Product, Marketing and Data teams to shape the long-term technical roadmap
• Mentor engineers and lead technical discussions to keep improving the platform
• Own the full software lifecycle, from first concept through production release

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of Scala, Java, or another JVM language that supports functional programming
• Experience building distributed systems with microservices, SOA and event-driven architectures
• Solid understanding of agile practices and the software development life cycle, including TDD/BDD and CI/CD
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL and RDS
• Proven track record designing and building highly available, scalable systems
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
• Professional experience building large-scale, high-quality systems for consumer-facing applications
• A plus: hands-on experience with container technologies and infrastructure as code
• A plus: previous work in innovative, high-growth environments

Conditions

Corporate team members work office-first, on-site at least four days a week, to support in-person collaboration

The anticipated base salary is $177,000.00 USD to $216,000.00 USD per year, with the final offer based on qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, education, certifications or licenses, and location of residence or workplace
