Senior Software Engineer

Description

The company is a growing fintech whose engineering team builds software for mortgage servicing.

You will develop backend systems and features that handle complex transactions and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take features from start to finish in a startup where things move quickly.
• Create and expand backend systems for mortgage servicing and financial transactions.
• Apply AI coding tools in your work, with people reviewing production code before it ships.
• Engineer dependable infrastructure that meets federal, state, and agency regulations.
• Work alongside product and platform or infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 3 to 10 years of software engineering work, leaning toward the backend.
• Hands-on experience designing large distributed systems.
• Solid grasp of algorithms and data structures, enough to write solutions without AI help.
• Working skill in Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience building products at fast-growing technology companies. Mortgage or financial technology work is relevant.
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Copilot or Cursor.
• A bachelor's degree in CS, or equivalent depth in core computer science fundamentals.

Conditions

Base salary runs from $210,000 to $300,000 per year.

The company offers visa sponsorship.

Work remotely from within the United States, with San Francisco as the main location.
