Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform

Description

The company GPU Cloud organization is building the company's accelerated compute cloud services, including software that manages hardware and network provisioning for a multi-tenant infrastructure.

You will work in a team with software engineers, product architects and product managers to deliver end-to-end software for managing complex cloud infrastructure deployments.

You will help shape services that fit the broader architecture of the cloud platform and build a robust, scalable system with other teams. Engineers on the team own their code from development through commit, testing and production, and care about code quality, testing, and simple, efficient deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable software systems to manage the company's cloud infrastructure.
• Build network and systems automation software for a multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.
• Work with internal customers at the company.
• Contribute to the open-source communities for software the team uses and builds.
• Present roadmaps, vision and demos to internal stakeholders and company leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and building distributed software systems.
• BS or MS in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to write code in a mainstream systems language such as C, C++, Golang or Rust.
• Proven ability to design and implement APIs that other teams can maintain.
• Practical experience with asynchronous programming, type safety, threading models, state machines and data structures.
• Experience with data persistence, such as SQL or similar.
• Understanding of secure communication protocols such as mutual-TLS or IPsec, or similar.
