Senior Software Engineer

Description

The company was founded in 2023 by machine learning researchers from MIT and Harvard Medical School and is at seed stage.

It is building an AI layer that pulls information out of medical records accurately and at scale, with the goal of cutting friction across healthcare.

Its LLM-based platform handles chart review across use cases; the first product speeds up clinical registry abstraction in surgery, cardiology and oncology for health systems.

The founding team spans machine learning, UI/UX, large language models and medicine.

The company wants engineers who will be early members of the team.

The role is for a product-minded full stack engineer who will own end-to-end development of new features and product experiences for internal and customer-facing applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, performant APIs and web applications.
• Talk with customers to understand their needs and design solutions for them.
• Work with a cross-functional team to design and ship new product features and experiences.
• Help build a strong engineering and product culture that moves the company forward.
• Work with the company's engineers to build highly scalable, fast and secure applications for critical healthcare environments.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of full stack software development experience, and the flexibility to work across the whole stack when needed.
• Fluent in TypeScript, React and other modern web technologies; the company uses React.
• Fluent in one or more backend languages; the company uses Python.
• Strong communicator who does well in a customer-focused, fast-moving environment.
• Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership who can work independently.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable team player who wants to disrupt healthcare with AI and ML.

Conditions

The company is based in Boston, and engineers are expected to meet in person in Boston regularly.

Engineers from Boston, NYC or the East Coast are welcome to apply.

Expected pay is $180,000-220,000 for candidates based in Boston and NYC; the range may differ for candidates elsewhere.

Pay depends on experience, overall fit for the role and candidate location, and the range may change over time.
