Senior Software Developer (Python, AWS, Terraform)

Description

The company is a technology consultancy offering fast-track career development and the chance to work with newer technologies. This role covers the full software delivery lifecycle, with hands-on coding included. You will help lead and push your team toward results, taking part from design and development through to delivering a high-quality product to clients.

A lead manager with overall delivery responsibility is assigned to each project. They are available to learn from and to rely on as you build your management and IT delivery skills.

Python and AWS experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Build front-end, back-end and integration components of systems.
• Plan workflows.
• Improve processes and carry out quality assurance.
• Turn customer requirements into designs for new features.
• Analyse and design the overall solution.
• Talk through problems with your team every day.
• Take part in delivery across the full lifecycle.

Requirements

• More than 4 years of experience in the IT industry.
• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field.
• Curiosity about exploring new technologies.
• Ideally a full-stack or back-end background with Python, plus either TypeScript or React, and Terraform.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to write code within projects.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, SQL or another document database.
• Experience with unit testing.
• Experience with Model-View-Controller.
• Previous work developing and delivering major IT solutions.
• Understanding of agile tools and techniques.
• Strong communication skills and a professional manner.
• Strong drive to advance your career.
• Must be willing to travel to client sites anywhere in the UK when needed.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
