Senior SDET Analyst

Description

This is a senior software development engineer in test role in Applications Development within Technology. It is a full-time position.

You handle most problems on your own and have some room to tackle complex ones, drawing on deep specialist knowledge and a solid grasp of industry standards.

You understand how your team and area work with others to meet the goals of the job family.

You analyse data with suitable tools and methods, and you judge results carefully and recommend actions based on facts.

You explain complicated or sensitive information clearly and tactfully.

Your work has a moderate but direct effect on the company's core activities, and the quality and speed of what you deliver affect your team and closely related teams.

This is a developing professional role.

Responsibilities

• Help run the user acceptance testing process and move releases into production, working with project managers, UAT specialists and users to design test scripts and plans.
• Carry out moderately complex monitoring, product evaluation and audits, log issues and recommend fixes.
• Confirm that project standards and procedures are documented clearly and followed throughout the software development life cycle, and suggest better documentation.
• Build functional automation for test cases.
• Check products against standards and processes against procedures.
• Record findings and perform initial root cause analyses to suggest improvements.
• Make sure every corrective action is assigned, documented and closed.
• Verify traceability across project work products.
• Gather, maintain and produce reports on quality metrics.
• Apply a solid understanding of your own technical area and a basic understanding of others.
• Understand how your area fits into IT Quality.
• Judge issues on the basis of factual analysis and choose solutions guided by experience and precedent.
• Protect quality in your own work and that of others, affecting your team and nearby teams.
• Give informal guidance to newer team members.
• Take on other tasks as assigned.
• Weigh risk in business decisions with attention to the firm's reputation and its clients and assets. Follow laws, rules, regulations and policy, use sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage and report control issues openly.

Requirements

• 7+ years of functional testing for complex multi-tier applications, with proven automation expertise.
• Strong experience in end-to-end system testing.
• Able to build and maintain automation frameworks from scratch, with strong Java and TypeScript skills.
• Solid knowledge of Core Java and SQL, and working knowledge of multiple databases and complex software systems.
• Track record of automating testing on large platforms.
• Familiarity with AI testing methods and tools such as Co-pilot and Claude.
• Performance testing (good to have).
• Python (good to have).
• Experience working with global teams.
• Working knowledge of Java, DBMS, GIT, Bitbucket and JIRA.
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Conditions

Full-time role.

Primary location salary range: $94,300.00 - $141,500.00.
