Description

The company runs an agentic web marketing platform that helps marketing teams build, manage, and improve high-performing websites, with the aim of steady growth and stronger brand trust.

The team of five architects, developers, and admins owns the go-to-market systems end to end. There are no project managers, business analysts, or QA staff, so each person runs their own projects from first stakeholder talk through requirements, design, build, testing, and rollout.

The team works as a community of practice: it shares patterns, reviews each other's code, and improves together. The role is a senior hands-on engineering position that also calls for judgment about what to build, what to simplify, and what to skip.

The role is for a Senior Salesforce Developer who will scale the Salesforce, CPQ, and integration solutions used daily by Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance, reporting to Anna Duncanson.

Responsibilities

  • Own problems from the first stakeholder conversation through launch, and bring designs to peers who review and build on them.
  • Work with RevOps, MarketingOps, LegalOps, Finance, and Pricing & Packaging leaders to turn business needs into designs, presenting options and tradeoffs so they can decide well.
  • Help own and develop the Quote-to-Cash platform, covering quoting, approvals, contracts, and renewals, and help decide where Revenue Cloud Advanced fits.
  • Simplify the platform by reusing existing parts first, merging overlapping automation, and retiring tools and packages that are no longer needed.
  • Design resilient integrations across the go-to-market stack and trace data issues to their root cause, even when several systems are involved.
  • Build shared AI tools that help the whole team, for test generation, code review, and metadata analysis.
  • Deploy your own changes through Gearset, add monitoring, and fix production issues before users report them.
  • Set the Apex, LWC, and security patterns others follow, review code thoughtfully, and mentor developers and admins.
  • Take a turn as Scrum Master, run team ceremonies, and suggest changes that speed up and improve the team's work.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (BS or BA) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development in a complex Sales Cloud org.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II certifications.
  • Strong Apex, SOQL, Flow, and LWC skills, and a clear view of when to use each.
  • Deep knowledge of the platform's transaction model, including order of execution, synchronous and asynchronous processing, bulkification, and governor limits, plus experience tuning performance in large-data-volume orgs.
  • Solid understanding of security in code, including CRUD, FLS, sharing, injection prevention, and named credentials.
  • Hands-on Salesforce CPQ experience.
  • Experience with source-driven delivery using SFDX, Git, pull requests, static analysis, automated testing, and rollback planning in a CI/CD tool such as Gearset or Copado.
  • Experience with event-driven patterns such as Platform Events and Change Data Capture.
  • Experience building and supporting integrations built to handle failure, with retries, idempotency, error handling, and clear system-of-record boundaries.
  • Preferred: Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, and/or Platform App Builder certifications.
  • Preferred: experience with identity provisioning or data warehouse integrations.
  • Preferred: experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • You are comfortable wearing many hats, running requirements sessions, managing timelines, writing test plans, and handling production issues as well as writing code.
  • You hold a high bar for quality, writing clean, well-tested, well-documented code and handling production with care.
  • You design for scale, building for where the company is going rather than only where it is now.
  • You value governance: clear standards, peer review, and documented decisions, and you help others follow them.
  • You question assumptions, including your own, test ideas with data, and change course when evidence supports it.
  • You look for better ways of working and keep improving your skills and the team's patterns and processes.
  • You find root causes using logs, data, and testing, and prove the problem before changing anything.
  • You explain technical tradeoffs clearly to a sales leader and to another engineer.
  • You protect focus by redirecting out-of-scope requests into intake and prioritizing by value and risk, leaving room for unplanned work.
  • You help build a team where people feel safe asking questions, raising concerns, and admitting mistakes.
  • You stay curious, adopt AI proactively, and build fluency in new technologies to work faster and have greater impact.
  • You build lasting customer trust by putting customer trust first in your actions.
  • You win together, as one team, because success at the company is not a solo effort.
  • You reinvent how things are done by imagining what is possible, not only improving what exists.
  • You own outcomes all the way, moving fast and holding yourself accountable to colleagues and customers.
