Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise - Minnesota

The company provides a cloud security platform, the Zero Trust Exchange, which protects customers from cyberattacks and data loss by connecting users, devices and applications securely from any location. It runs across more than 200 public data centers worldwide and thousands of private edge sites.

This is a remote role on the Enterprise West team, reporting to the Manager of Sales Engineering. The Sales and Go-to-Market group works alongside Customer Success, Sales Enablement, Solution Architects, Business Development, Transformation and Technology Partnerships to show prospects what cloud transformation looks like in practice.

Responsibilities

• Build and present technical product demonstrations for prospective customers
• Collect customers' technical requirements and confirm that the proposed solution meets their goals
• Run product evaluations and tailor product configurations
• Work with customers to design evaluation test plans and steer them to a successful result

Requirements

• 7+ years working as a Sales Engineer or as a network systems integrator
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• A solid background in cybersecurity and networking, with hands-on work on TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs and firewalls
• Comfortable working with ambiguity, building the path as you go and treating uncertainty as material to create something useful
• Act as an owner, moving between high-level strategy and hands-on execution with a drive to get things done
• Enjoy hard problems and find solutions energising, knowing they carry the greatest impact
• Keep the customer's real-world problems at the centre of your decisions
• Adapt well to change and stay calm and focused under pressure
• Curious about AI tools, with a record of adopting new technology to improve your daily work and problem-solving
• Preferred qualifications: industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCIE or Security+
• Preferred qualifications: strong AI fluency, using coding assistants, LLMs and generative AI tools to speed up troubleshooting, solution design, automation and customer problem-solving, while checking outputs with sound technical judgment

Conditions

Full-time position, remote

Base pay range of $154,875 to $221,250 USD, covering all US locations; actual pay may be higher or lower depending on skills, experience and education

Base pay excludes commission, bonus, equity (where applicable) and benefits
