Description

The company is hiring a senior engineer to strengthen security across its cloud business applications and its growing AI capabilities.

The role sits where SaaS security, identity, data protection and AI risk meet, and it is hands-on.

The team aims to raise security maturity without holding back responsible innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and build practical security controls across the full life of SaaS tools and AI systems, from discovery and architecture through vendor review, rollout, monitoring and ongoing improvement.
  • Turn new threats into controls that scale, working closely with engineering and business teams.
  • Build out the SaaS security program, covering the application inventory, security baselines, configuration standards and continuous control monitoring.
  • Review SaaS platforms and integrations for identity, access, data protection, logging, privacy, resilience and third-party risk.
  • Work with application owners on SSO, MFA, privileged access, service accounts, OAuth apps and lifecycle controls.
  • Find and reduce misconfiguration, excess permissions, unmanaged integrations, shadow SaaS, data exposure and weak admin practices.
  • Support architecture reviews, control design, exception handling and remediation tracking for SaaS solutions.
  • Automate repeat assessment, monitoring, evidence gathering and remediation where it makes sense.
  • Build custom AI agents and work with the business on auto-remediation.
  • Explain risk to technical and non-technical audiences, with clear recommendations, tradeoffs and decisions to make.
  • Help write standards, playbooks, reference architectures and training for SaaS and AI users and builders.
  • Track cybersecurity threats and technology changes, especially in the automotive and AI areas.
  • Mentor junior security engineers.
  • Design controls that allow and govern approved AI use, covering approved tools, users, data types, integrations, access paths, monitoring and policy enforcement.
  • Keep track of approved AI use cases, models, providers, data flows, agents, tools, plugins and business owners.
  • Create repeatable security review patterns for AI products.
  • Work with legal, privacy, compliance, procurement, data governance and product teams on secure, responsible AI adoption.
  • Follow the changing AI threat landscape and turn findings into control changes, detections and engineering guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 7 years in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on SaaS security and AI-driven security.
  • Solid grasp of security principles, protocols and good practice.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SaaS security: identity federation, access governance, API and OAuth security, configuration assessment, logging and data protection.
  • Working knowledge of AI and ML security risks, and the ability to assess AI-enabled applications, workflows or third-party services.
  • Experience with security architecture reviews, risk assessment or control validation.
  • Experience designing, building and securing AI agents.
  • Ability to write clear technical requirements, security standards, findings and executive-level risk summaries.
  • Strong communication, analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and alongside others in a quick-moving environment.
  • Preferred: CISSP or an equivalent certification, which is highly desirable.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AI security standards and guidance such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS or comparable practices.
  • Preferred: experience with security data analysis, data engineering, dashboards or analytics to spot trends, prioritize risk, measure control effectiveness and support security operations decisions.
