We are looking for a Sr. Recruiter to help us build the team behind Eka’s next stage of growth.
Your primary focus will be recruiting exceptional technical talent across robotics, reinforcement learning, computer vision, simulation, and software. You will work directly with our company leadership to identify exceptional people, develop creative ways to reach them, bring them into Eka’s orbit, and ultimately help close them.
This is a hands-on role. You will personally source candidates, develop talent maps, run candidate conversations, and drive searches forward — not simply build a recruiting process for others to execute.
The ideal candidate started as a hands-on technical sourcer or recruiter, developed deep expertise recruiting robotics talent, and expanded into broader People responsibilities at a fast growing-startup.
Role Overview
Personally source and recruit highly specialized research and engineering talent, with an initial focus on robotics, ML/RL, computer vision, simulation, and software.
Develop targeted sourcing strategies and talent maps across robotics companies, research organizations, university labs, and technical communities.
Build relationships with passive candidates and serve as a compelling early ambassador for Eka.
Own candidate conversations and partner with leadership on interview strategy, offers, closing, and follow-up.
Continuously improve our recruiting workflows, processes, and systems.
Work with our existing talent team and recruiting partners to ensure our highest-priority searches move quickly.
Partner with leadership on broader People initiatives such as headcount planning, compensation, performance management, manager development, and strategy for company expansion.
Minimum Qualifications
Significant experience recruiting highly technical talent, including direct experience recruiting in robotics, embodied AI, physical AI, or a closely related field .
Demonstrated success personally sourcing difficult-to-find engineering and research candidates.
Strong knowledge of the robotics talent ecosystem and experience sourcing beyond LinkedIn, including through technical communities, research publications, conferences, university labs, and targeted market mapping.
Enough technical fluency to understand specialized candidate backgrounds and engage credibly with researchers and engineers.
Strong candidate-facing communication skills and the ability to build excitement and trust throughout a recruiting process.
Experience in a fast-growing startup or similarly high-ownership environment.
Experience or demonstrated interest in broader People topics beyond recruiting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience recruiting through communities and conferences (e.g., CoRL, ICRA, IROS, OpenReview, arXiv, etc.)
Experience with compensation, organizational planning, performance management
Experience supporting a company through rapid growth or expansion into new markets
