Senior RAMS Safety Engineer

Description

You will be a Senior Safety Engineer on a team that builds railway products and systems where safety comes first.

The role suits an experienced railway engineer who wants to shape complex solutions that directly affect the safety of the company's products and systems.

You will work alongside international development, systems, testing and validation teams to define and put in place RAMS and Safety Assurance strategies.

The company runs operations worldwide and works at the leading edge of digital change and rail technology.

Responsibilities

• Set the RAMS and Safety Assurance strategy for projects, products and solutions.
• Write, check and approve core safety deliverables, including RAMS Plans, Safety Plans, Hazard Logs, RAM Reports, Safety Cases, Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Justification Documents.
• Coordinate RAMS and safety activity across the full product lifecycle.
• Lead hazard analyses and judge how changes affect system safety, availability, maintainability and reliability.
• Represent the RAMS discipline in internal and external technical meetings.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in railway engineering.
• Proven work on projects built to EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129.
• A track record of preparing and approving safety documentation at system and subsystem level.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, DOORS, GIT, ClearCase or similar platforms.

Conditions

Based in Bucharest, Ilfov, Romania. This is not a remote role.
