Senior Quality Assurance Manager (all genders)

Description

The company runs an in-house agency team that adapts and launches its headless B2B SaaS commerce platform for global brands such as Levi's, Manchester United, Harrods and Fielmann.

The role sits in the QA team and covers many client projects at once, each with different industries, setups and technical needs.

Responsibilities

• Run hands-on manual testing on several client e-commerce websites across mobile, tablet and desktop, covering the full customer path from browsing to checkout.
• Work with frontend developers and project teams to learn each client's requirements and design a testing approach for every implementation.
• Keep quality high and the user experience consistent across varied client builds.
• Help shape the agency's testing framework and its automated testing strategy across client projects.
• Champion quality within cross-functional agency teams, share good practice and push for ongoing improvement across many engagements.
• Coordinate testing across parallel client projects so features ship on agency timelines at the right quality.
• Understand how frontend integrations connect with the company's backend systems and third-party services, and test the stack as a whole.
• Adjust test plans to each client's requirements, brand guidelines and technical specifications.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of QA and frontend testing experience, ideally in an agency or with clients.
• Practical experience with manual, exploratory, destructive and automated testing.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser DevTools and REST APIs.
• Strong root-cause analysis, so you find why bugs occur rather than only logging them.
• Able to explain technical problems in terms of business impact and clear next steps for clients and engineers.
• Proven use of Jira, Confluence and agile workflows across several projects at once.
• Detail-oriented, with high standards for user experience, performance and brand consistency.
• Nice to have: experience with a test management tool such as TestRail.
• Nice to have: knowledge of web performance testing (Lighthouse, Web Vitals) and web accessibility (a11y) standards.
• Nice to have: hands-on work with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI and adding automated tests to them.
• Nice to have: familiarity with web accessibility (a11y) standards and how to test them.
• Nice to have: understanding of international e-commerce setups, including multiple languages, multiple currencies and regional regulations.
• Nice to have: familiarity with headless commerce, storefront SDKs or the company's architecture.
