The company is a Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure firm and a subsidiary of a larger group. It helps organizations build and run scalable, secure and sovereign infrastructure for AI, machine learning and data-intensive applications, across on-premises, cloud, edge and sovereign data centers.
The company is young, and it values openness, collaboration, risk-taking and continuous growth. It works with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers adopting next-generation cloud technology, and it is committed to open standards and avoiding lock-in.
This is a senior QA role on a team building the quality practices for Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms, with a strong focus on distributed systems and multi-cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Help set the QA strategy for Kubernetes and cloud-native systems, tying quality goals to business aims and release dates.
Find and champion strong testing practices and frameworks for distributed systems.
Run risk analysis and test planning for large multi-cloud infrastructure and container orchestration.
Design test frameworks and infrastructure that check microservices and infrastructure components across multi-cluster and hybrid-cloud setups.
Direct the design of complex test scenarios that mimic production-like load, scaling, failure injection and recovery across clusters.
Lead the build-out of scalable, maintainable test automation wired into CI/CD with tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Use Kubernetes APIs, Helm and service mesh tools to widen automation coverage for system health, failover and network resilience.
Push test infrastructure-as-code forward so that infrastructure code stays repeatable, extensible and reliable.
Coach QA engineers and developers in advanced methods such as risk-based testing, chaos engineering, and performance and load testing.
Act as the QA lead in design reviews, production readiness assessments and retrospectives on escaped defects.
Work with DevOps engineers to improve monitoring, alerting and debugging for test automation running in CI/CD.
Set quality gates, release readiness metrics and data-driven feedback loops so released software meets production quality.
Lead efforts to add performance, security and chaos testing to the development lifecycle.
Build a quality culture across teams and shape architecture decisions with testing in mind.
Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
10+ years in software testing or quality engineering, including 4+ years focused on Kubernetes, cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
A proven record of leading and scaling test strategies in enterprise environments.
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, cluster lifecycle management, Helm, service meshes such as Istio or Linkerd, and network policies.
Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Pytest, Bash and similar tools.
Working knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger), Kubernetes security (RBAC, secrets management) and benchmarking tools such as K6.
Solid grounding in cloud architecture on AWS, Azure and GCP, infrastructure provisioning and containerized CI/CD.
Moderate to advanced Linux skills are required: Bash scripting and debugging, systemd and logs, networking, firewalling and routing, certificate and PKI management, Docker or containerd, and kubectl and Helm with OCI registries plus GitOps with Flux, used to install, test and troubleshoot multi-cluster environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and architectural thinking.
Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Clear verbal and written communication for both technical and executive audiences.
Mentoring of one or more junior team members, especially on testing fundamentals, troubleshooting and automation.
Preferred: contributions to open-source Kubernetes or QA tooling projects.
Preferred: experience implementing chaos engineering in Kubernetes environments.
Preferred: certifications such as CKA, CKAD or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
