Description

The company builds software that helps finance organisations work with more speed, clarity and confidence. The team is spread across time zones and works as one group.

This role sits within the sales proposal function and is open to candidates in the UK, France and the Netherlands. It handles the most complex and non-standard RFX responses, working as a trusted partner to Sales alongside Solution Consulting and subject-matter experts. You will help shape strategy, gather contributions and produce proposals that are clear, accurate and build buyer confidence. You will also coach other writers and improve the standards, content and tools the team uses.

The company is looking for people who think big, lead and collaborate authentically, stay curious and deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Own complex, high-stakes and non-standard RFI, RFP and RFQ responses from intake through submission, keeping execution and submission quality at the highest level.
  • Work with Sales to understand each deal, including the buyer's priorities, the competition and the evidence that builds confidence, and build the proposal around them.
  • Coordinate parallel input from Sales, Solution Consulting, Finance, Legal, Product and other specialist teams.
  • Plan and run the project timeline, covering kick-off, RFP tool setup, check-ins, reviews, packaging and close-down. Keep everyone clear on the plan, manage multiple contributors and hit deadlines and milestones.
  • Review each response for structure, formatting, accuracy and clarity before it is released.

Requirements

  • Keep your understanding of the company's platform and competitive position current, and catch outdated or wrong product information before it reaches a buyer.
  • Find gaps in how responses are written and positioned, and in the standards, workflows, templates, tools and content library behind them, then fix them.
  • Turn lessons from finished proposals and their results into guidance, content and examples for the team.
  • Use AI tools carefully across the workflow, and share the prompts and practices that improve insight, quality, consistency and speed.
  • Build good working relationships with partner teams, understand what each one owns, and route requests so colleagues' time is used well.
  • Give junior and mid-level writers practical feedback on their work and on the reasoning behind strong proposal decisions, and help new joiners get up to speed.
  • Shape how the team approaches content, quality and process, and set the standard through your own work.
  • Make sound calls on structure, messaging and emphasis when requirements are unclear, incomplete or non-standard. Adapt when the usual approach does not fit, and own the decisions you make.
  • Influence people without formal authority, based on trust.
  • Hold a reasoned position with Sales on quality and standards, staying open-minded and realistic about what each deal needs.
  • Understand how proposals drive revenue, and focus effort where it will most affect the buyer's decision.
  • Work independently with self-motivation and accountability, and contribute as part of a team.
  • Keep learning, and look for chances to build your own skills.
  • Required: a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Required: seven or more years writing and managing RFI, RFP and RFQ responses, working with sales teams on competitive, high-value deals.
  • Required: professional experience using AI tools in writing, editing or content work.
  • Required: experience coaching or mentoring colleagues and sharing knowledge across a team.
  • Analyse complex business processes, enterprise technology and buyer requirements, and work out what they mean for the response and where the gaps are.
  • Communicate exceptionally well in writing, editing and speech, turning complex technical, business and commercial information into accurate, persuasive content.
  • Prioritise competing projects, manage your time and stay accurate as deadlines move.
  • Have a solid grasp of sales frameworks, buyer enablement and revenue operations.
  • Preferred: experience in a cloud or SaaS environment, ideally in finance or a related area.
  • Preferred: experience with Ombud or a comparable proposal management platform.
  • Preferred: experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM in opportunity and proposal workflows.
  • Preferred: APMP certification, though it is not required.
