Description

You will support a financial services client account as a consultant, helping it reach strategic business goals.

The role centres on leading office infrastructure construction, both onsite and across the region.

Projects are MEP upgrades and installations in occupied smart-building offices, with a focus on building management system automation controls.

You sit in the Project Management function as Owner's Representative, overseeing projects from start to finish.

The company is a global professional services firm with more than 22,000 people in over 60 countries, working across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources. Its services include program, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital solutions. It is majority-owned by CBRE Group, the world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, with partners holding a significant minority stake.

Responsibilities

  • Run every phase of several real estate projects: planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
  • Work with clients to shape each project, covering scope, delivery resources, cost estimates and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control and risk identification.
  • Report on projects to the Project Management Director and other business leaders.
  • Mentor and manage other project managers so they build deep expertise across most or all of the function.
  • Set delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the qualification process. Run complex requests for proposals, evaluate bids and recommend resources to clients.
  • Keep all workstreams on schedule and drive issues to resolution or escalation.
  • Lead regular meetings that review the status of active and pending projects.
  • Work with the project team to build solutions and steer them through to completion.
  • Bring advanced knowledge to find better methods for individual and department goals.
  • Be a go-to expert in your own field and knowledgeable across other functional areas.
  • Influence customer, operational, project and service outcomes across multi-discipline teams, within functional policies that shape procedures and standards.
  • Help create new products, processes, standards and operational plans that support functional goals.
  • Lead by example, anticipate objections and win over senior and divergent stakeholders to a different view.

Requirements

  • You must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without visa sponsorship.
  • Preferred: a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and 8-10 years of relevant experience. A mix of experience and education may be considered instead of a degree.
  • Preferred: PE, LEED AP, PMP and/or CCM certification.
  • You need Owner's Representative experience for a Class A financial or professional services client, plus infrastructure or MEP experience.
  • Desired: strong knowledge of BMS controls, building automation and smart buildings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledge of PM Web or similar project management software.
  • You need a proven record of working with senior leaders on strategy and of leading delivery resources on projects.
  • You can work in a high-pressure, demanding setting while leading several projects or programs at different stages.
  • SOX control responsibilities may apply and must be followed where relevant.
