Senior Product Owner – Application Server Platform

Description

The company makes sustainability, environmental health and safety, and operational risk management software.

The role sits in the Platform team, which builds the shared features behind the company's risk management and safety SaaS product.

The team owns full stack, customer-facing capabilities such as user interfaces, common workflows, configuration, APIs, integrations and backend services.

You will work with the Product Manager to turn the product vision and roadmap into priorities the engineering team can act on, and you will represent customers and users inside the team.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Product Manager to set and rank the product backlog by customer needs, business value and technical limits.
• Turn roadmap items into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
• Keep UX, Engineering, Support, Professional Services and other stakeholders aligned.
• Answer questions and make product decisions quickly as delivery moves forward.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and other Agile ceremonies.
• Check delivered features against customer, usability, quality and performance expectations.
• Track customer feedback, usage, incidents and product KPIs to find ways to improve.
• Serve as a main contact for stakeholders on the team's capabilities, roadmap and priorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager or similar role in SaaS or enterprise software.
• Experience shipping customer-facing digital products or platform capabilities.
• Solid grasp of user needs, product discovery, prioritization and value-based decisions.
• Skill turning complex business needs into requirements that full stack teams can build.
• Enough technical knowledge to discuss frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, data and architecture.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Analytical, structured thinker who can weigh customer value, business goals, technical constraints and delivery capacity.
• Perfect command of French and strong command of English are compulsory.
• Experience improving web application user experiences, with knowledge of UX principles or user research.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, data models or distributed application architectures.
• Understanding of SaaS concepts such as multi-tenancy, scalability, security and performance.
• Experience with B2B products for large organizations, ideally in risk management, EHS, compliance or enterprise software.
