Description

The company is a fast-growing tech startup in Winnipeg, Canada. It uses AI to make business TV more engaging, profitable and easier to run, starting with bars and restaurants.

Its computer vision technology watches live TV and enhances it with commercials, content and games matched to the context. It also automates the routine AV work venues handle every day.

Alumni of that program include Airbnb, Instacart and DoorDash.

This role owns the advertiser product, which covers how brands and agencies buy and run campaigns across the venue network. Today's campaigns are a mix of generally available and custom ones, and the goal is a repeatable sales offer that scales.

You report to the Head of Product and work with an engineering team, design and the ad sales team. It is a hands-on senior role covering discovery, specs, delivery and customer contact in your area. The Head of Product sets direction across areas and settles trade-offs between them, and you get real ownership with direct access to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision, roadmap and outcomes for the advertiser product, favouring the work with the best return.
  • Shape what the company sells and where the product goes next, alongside ads leadership.
  • Turn ad products into offers that sales can sell without custom work.
  • Convert measurement and data into ROAS proof that sellers can use in every pitch.
  • Agree on requirements and success measures with sales before engineering commits to large projects.
  • Talk with brands, agencies and internal sellers often, and run user research and usability tests with design.
  • Write clear requirements and plan delivery with the Ads technical lead, keeping technical choices aligned with product direction.
  • Build the business case for new initiatives tied to company goals, strong enough to win leadership buy-in.
  • Track the metrics for your area and use them to guide product decisions.
  • Create a release process and product documentation so sales, support and operations know what is shipping and how it works.
  • Use AI extensively for data analysis, prototyping, sub-agents and QA to speed up the team.
  • Travel now and then to major ad markets such as New York and Los Angeles for agency meetings and events.

Requirements

  • You have 6-10 years of product management experience in B2B software, owning a product area end to end.
  • You have shipped products that moved a business number such as revenue, adoption or retention. Outcomes matter more to us than feature lists.
  • You have experience packaging or pricing a product so it sells without custom work.
  • You are technically minded and comfortable coding with AI tools such as Claude, and you can reason through technical trade-offs.
  • You are analytical and business-first, and you can tell when a problem needs strategy and when it just needs execution.
  • You communicate clearly in writing and in person, and you can bring engineers, executives, salespeople and customers along.
  • You have 5+ years of experience.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Ad tech experience is a big plus. Without it, you should be ready to go deep and learn the ads business quickly.
  • Bonus: startup experience, an MBA, or a background in adtech, media, marketplaces, hospitality tech, hardware or computer vision.
