Description

The company builds and deploys autonomous robotic systems to help build critical infrastructure faster, starting with data centers. Current work is shaped by labor shortages, dangerous job sites, and complicated operations.

As a product designer, you will shape how people interact with the robots and the software behind them. That covers the controls a pilot uses to run a robot, the tools an engineer uses to explore data, and the apps a team uses to coordinate a fleet.

You will partner with engineers and operators to learn complex workflows and make them easy to use. This means working out what people need to see, understand, and control, then turning those decisions into concrete interface details. Your work spans software and physical interaction, from teleoperation controls to scheduling and task management.

Responsibilities

  • Talk with teleoperators, field operators, and engineers to find where their tools break down, then rethink how those tools could work.
  • Design interfaces for teleoperation, data exploration, annotation, and fleet coordination, for a deployed fleet expected to grow to thousands of robots next year.
  • Prototype and test with the people who use these tools, including data annotators, robotics researchers, and fleet managers.
  • Partner with engineers to ship designs and improve them based on how they perform in the field.

Requirements

  • You have designed tools that make complicated systems easier to understand and use. Examples include developer tools, CAD, creative software, and hardware interfaces.
  • You are curious about unfamiliar technical fields and learn enough to challenge how things should work.
  • You think carefully about interaction, information hierarchy, and feedback, and you care about the small details.
  • You like working closely with engineers and designing for technical users. Building your own prototypes in code is a plus, though not required.
  • The company welcomes people from all backgrounds and identities and makes hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential. Apply even if you don't meet every requirement.
