Senior network engineer

Description

The company runs and redesigns mission-critical technology systems for large businesses worldwide.

You would join a team of experienced experts supporting the networks those systems depend on.

The role is based in a hybrid-friendly setup.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer networks as the go-to expert on the team.
• Work in a complex environment that includes several vendors.
• Analyse network faults, resolve them, make configuration changes, and put security policies in place.
• Test and apply fixes, including emergency changes, and join change reviews when needed.
• Plan and carry out routine network changes.
• Fix network issues and outages, and keep customers, project managers, and service engineers informed.
• Maintain network components, monitor performance, and keep the network secure.
• Give users support for network-related problems.

Requirements

• Have proven skills in troubleshooting, switching, and routing.
• Have at least 4+ years of hands-on networking experience.
• Hold a CCNP or have equivalent knowledge.
• Have experience with network security and WAN.
• Have a working knowledge of ITIL.
• Preferred: experience with BGP, SDN based on Cisco ACI, Checkpoint or Cisco Firepower firewalls, F5 load balancers, and NSX.
• Preferred: experience with Ansible automation.
