Senior Manager Strategic Marketing (f/m/x)

Description

The company makes lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, and its equipment is used to produce most of the world's microchips.

The role sits in the Semiconductor Mask Solutions business unit.

Responsibilities

• You will own strategic marketing for your customer segment within the Semiconductor Mask Solutions (SMS) business unit and represent that segment's customer view inside the unit.
• You will help keep the company's market and technology leadership in semiconductors strong and growing.
• You will combine technology roadmaps with market and customer analyses for your segment and turn the results into implications for SMS product roadmaps.
• You will build a detailed picture of customer processes, applications and main challenges, and turn it into new product ideas and application areas.
• You will work with the Field Marketing teams on new product launches, especially in first customer contacts and early sales.
• You will assess new technologies and competing products and collect and consolidate competitive intelligence worldwide.
• You will prepare customer visits, workshops, trade fairs and conferences, and present the strategic positioning of your segment.
• You will support the Head of Strategic Marketing in building cost-of-technology models and pricing frameworks.
• You will work with executives, the R&D organization and regional teams to keep SMS products competitive and in market leadership.

Requirements

• You hold a strong degree in engineering or the natural sciences, such as physics, mechanical engineering or optics. A doctorate or an additional business qualition such as an MBA is a plus.
• You have extensive experience in technical roles in the semiconductor or semiconductor equipment industry, or in strategic or technical marketing of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• You have a track record of launching new products and validating product concepts with international semiconductor customers.
• You understand processes in mask shops or wafer fabs from end to end.
• Knowledge of optical systems, materials and metrology is a plus.
• You communicate well, focus on the customer and can connect technology, business and customer views.
• You speak business English fluently. German is desirable, ideally with Mandarin or Korean as well.
• You have strong intercultural skills and are willing to travel.
