Description

The company has been working on computer graphics and accelerated computing for more than 30 years and is now rebuilding graphics around AI. Its work in graphics system software, compute graphics and neural rendering is widening what GPUs can do across visual computing, robotics and automotive platforms.

The team builds graphics system software for automotive and robotics and is based in Finland. This is a senior engineering management role leading that group while it grows its part in the company's overall graphics direction.

The work covers GPU and SoC bring-up, graphics API development and platform integration, with possible involvement in neural shading and Slang. You will work with architects and partner teams across the company to set a technical strategy and roadmap and to build the capabilities needed for the next generation of graphics software.

The role mixes technical leadership, people development and delivery. You will work with senior architects and engineering leaders on focused roadmaps and production-quality software, and build the skills the team needs for new graphics work. You will also push the team to use AI-assisted development and agentic automation in how it builds software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team that delivers graphics system software and advances compute graphics.
  • Own the team's strategy, roadmaps, priorities, quality and delivery commitments.
  • Drive work across GPU and SoC enablement, Vulkan and OpenGL drivers, CUDA-based graphics, platform integration and production releases.
  • Work with GPU architecture, hardware, research and platform teams on technical direction and on co-design of hardware and software.
  • Grow the team's role in the company's wider graphics strategy.
  • Mentor engineers and technical leads, and hire and develop strong people.
  • Improve development, validation and support through better engineering practices, tooling and AI-assisted and agentic workflows.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10 or more years in graphics, GPU or platform engineering, including at least 4 years leading engineering teams.
  • A solid grasp of GPU architecture, graphics and compute pipelines, and how software interacts with hardware.
  • Deep experience with graphics system software such as drivers, GPU or SoC enablement, shader infrastructure, or graphics and compute APIs.
  • Proven skill in agentic software development, with a record of raising the bar, building team expertise, and measurably improving engineering productivity and software quality.
  • A track record of leading software teams and shipping production-quality systems.
  • Strong technical judgment, communication and organizational skills.
  • Nice to have: experience taking a graphics technology from early development into production use.
  • Nice to have: experience shipping production graphics drivers or runtimes for Vulkan, OpenGL or CUDA-based graphics, or contributing to graphics API design and standardization.
  • Nice to have: experience with pre-silicon validation and GPU or SoC bring-up.
  • Nice to have: functional safety experience in automotive or other safety-critical software, including ISO 26262, ASIL requirements, traceability, verification evidence or safety-qualified releases.
  • Nice to have: a proven record of delivering engineering programs on schedule and at high quality, including using AI to improve planning and delivery.
