Description

The role leads strategy and delivery for the company's agentic developer platform. You will learn how teams across the company build, test and improve autonomous agents, then turn those patterns into shared platform features.

Your work is to find gaps and friction, run quick proofs of concept on new agent designs and ecosystem tools, and turn the strongest results into reusable parts, integrations and governance controls that make developers faster and agents better.

The platform helps teams ship more autonomous systems safely at the company's scale. The team is at the forefront of agent architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Follow how agent development changes inside the company and across the wider industry.
  • Find weak points in current agent designs and build a platform plan that speeds up developers and improves agent quality, backed by evaluations, benchmarks and feedback loops.
  • Evaluate open source and third-party tools for real value, and make clear build-or-adopt calls.
  • Design and integrate high-throughput data pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation systems, vector databases and GPU-accelerated training and inference.
  • Lead the work to connect the company's internal AI data platform to its on-premises AI infrastructure, improving GPU-to-storage throughput, data locality and distributed inference speed.
  • Set and enforce agent governance policies covering model and tool use, data lineage, compliance and Responsible AI frameworks.
  • Build, run and maintain a central agent safety toolkit of vetted components for input and output guardrails and prompt injection defense.
  • Lead and grow a strong team and a cross-functional community that sets shared procedures and drives adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in software engineering, including 4+ years managing high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on experience with evolving agent architectures and open source libraries, plus deep knowledge of LLM and agent architectures. You have led proofs of concept and brought them into real use cases with measurable adoption or impact.
  • Skill at shaping unclear, fast-changing problems into a platform direction, roadmap and results.
  • Past work building developer platforms adopted by several teams, including APIs, SDKs, reusable components and reference implementations.
  • Experience building evaluation and benchmarking systems for agent workflows, covering metrics, regression testing and feedback loops.
  • Sound judgment on integrating open source and third-party tools, with clear build-or-adopt decisions and integration plans.
  • A product approach to safety and governance, including controls, auditability, monitoring and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and executive communication with engineering, product, security and research teams.
  • Ways to stand out: experience putting enterprise governance into agent systems, including controls, auditability, monitoring and policy enforcement, in production autonomous workflows.
  • Ways to stand out: proven results taking new or open source agent tools from proof of concept to production, with clear business impact on cycle time, quality, cost or reliability.
  • Ways to stand out: experience building an agent platform or agent developer experience used by multiple teams, such as SDKs, templates, reference apps and reusable building blocks.
  • Ways to stand out: a clear, example-backed view on when to adopt open source or third-party tools versus building internal primitives, and how to put that choice into practice.
  • Ways to stand out: deep experience running agent evaluation at scale, including long-horizon tasks, tool correctness, reliability testing, automated regression and offline and online feedback loops.
