Senior IT Project Manager

Description

The company delivers digital solutions across Europe, with more than 8,900 staff serving EU institutions and public and private organisations.

You would join the Belgian team of over 600 technology specialists, mostly working on international projects for European institutions.

This senior role centres on running information system projects from start to finish, on large-scale initiatives that affect millions of citizens.

Responsibilities

• Run information system implementations so they stay within agreed cost, schedule and quality limits.
• Draft proposals covering project strategy, planning, deliverables, quality control and risk handling.
• Coach project team members, review their deliverables and lead the team.
• Work out costs, timelines and resourcing needs that match the project's terms of reference.
• Build and update project and quality plans, and track progress against targets.
• Watch costs, schedules and resources, and act when things drift outside tolerance.
• Manage change control and secure sponsor approval for revisions.
• Attend working groups and progress meetings on complex initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (EQF Level 6) plus at least 8 years in IT project management.
• Expert knowledge of project management standards, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
• Demonstrated experience applying Agile, Scrum and Lean.
• Practical use of JIRA, Confluence and MS Project.
• Holding PM2, PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Preferred: English at C1 level for working in multicultural teams.
