Description

You will join the Account Mobile team, a group of iOS and Android engineers who build the app's homepage and the features that help users manage and grow their money across currencies.

The team works within the Consumer Account Squad and supports every team in it. You will work with a designer, a product manager and fellow engineers, and you may contribute to company-wide technical initiatives.

You will sit within mobile engineering, which has more than 60 engineers. You are encouraged to shape other parts of the app and to raise the standard of UX and code quality for all customers.

The company builds a global money movement and management product, and the account is a core part of it.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, scope and build consistent experiences across the native apps and the web, with a focus on customer needs.
  • Work with product, design and analytics to deliver features that have a clear effect on users.
  • Own the overall health and quality of the iOS project.
  • Work with iOS and Android engineers to keep the iOS project current, adopt new technologies and best practices, and stay consistent across platforms.
  • Keep code clean, maintainable and efficient, so the app stays responsive, loads quickly and remains stable.
  • Build solutions that scale well and work across markets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and shipping an app that customers enjoy using.
  • Proficiency in Swift.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM or VIPER. The team uses VIPER and MVVM but is open to other approaches.
  • Desire to write code that is easy to test.
  • Understanding of REST API design.
  • A strong product mindset and a focus on user experience. You put users first and use data to address their problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex technical ideas to non-technical people.
  • Ability to collaborate with your team and to solve problems on your own, proactively.
  • Experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency or CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with internationalisation patterns for apps used in many markets.
  • A fintech background, which is not required.
  • If you have some of these skills and want to learn the rest, the company wants to hear from you. Few candidates meet every requirement.

Conditions

The company is committed to diverse, equitable and inclusive teams.
