The CEE group has close to 1,000 specialists who build applications, data platforms, and AI solutions for clients including Millennium, ING, Play, Edenred, Arabian Drilling, FedEx, Leroy Merlin, Truecaller, Volotea, and Schmitz Cargobull. The team works with AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake and shares knowledge internally.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain multi-tenant backend services and APIs in Go (Golang), using gRPC, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
• Shape data models, including canonical product data models, so they perform well and support multiple tenants.
• Design APIs that follow Google AIP standards and sound architecture, and that scale and handle multi-tenancy.
• Propose architectural changes through Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and present them to the team.
• Create and run integrations between backend services and several SaaS platforms, including product content management systems.
• Keep code quality high through automated tests, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Investigate faults, improve performance, and provide second-line (L2) support for backend services.
• Work with cross-functional colleagues in an agile setting.
• Watch service health and fix production problems before customers notice them.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Go (Golang).
• A solid grasp of concurrency, data structures, and backend fundamentals.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Comfort with Git-based workflows.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Hands-on work with Docker.
• Practical use of AI assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve productivity, quality, or decisions in software delivery.
• Experience applying GenAI in a structured way across the software development lifecycle, such as defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations used daily.
• Interest in emerging AI practices such as agent-based workflows, automation patterns, and AI-augmented development, and a readiness to experiment beyond standard approaches.
