Software Engineer

Description

The company is hiring freelance Java developers, DevOps engineers and solution architects for a range of IT projects in Antwerp, Brussels and hybrid setups.

Most work is on software projects that involve Java, cloud-native applications, DevOps, software architecture and digital transformation.

Senior developers, architects and technical leads are all invited to get in touch.

Current assignment types include Java development, senior Java development, DevOps engineering, solution architecture, software architecture, API and integration work, application modernization, and microservices or event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Work on Java projects that may cover senior development, DevOps, solution or software architecture, APIs and integrations, modernization, or microservices and event-driven designs, depending on the assignment.

Requirements

• Depending on the project, you may use Java 17 and Java 21, Spring Boot, Azure Cloud, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub and GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures and SQL databases.
• You have experience as a Java developer, DevOps engineer or architect.
• You know modern Java and solid software engineering practices.
• You have worked in Agile and DevOps teams.
• You are comfortable with cloud platforms.
• You think analytically and communicate clearly.
• You are available as a freelancer, or open to freelance work in the future.
• You speak English fluently and also Dutch or French.
