Senior Fullstack Engineer - Customer Risk Assessment

Description

The company is building a shared platform that shows the team a full picture of each customer and the financial crime risk tied to them.

The Customer Risk Assessment team works at the core of the company's effort to meet strict regulatory rules in many countries.

The platform joins up the different fincrime risk signals into one view, so teams can decide quickly and accurately.

You will help build this platform and own the shared parts used for risk mitigation, which will affect how the company scales its compliance work.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship resilient backend microservices in Java with Spring Boot, plus accessible frontends in React and TypeScript.
• Build the tools that combine data from several fincrime topologies into a 360-degree risk view for each customer.
• Own and develop the common risk mitigation components, giving Servicing Agents standard, scalable workflows.
• Find and remove bottlenecks in servicing and compliance, and deliver adaptable platform solutions that other product teams can change for their own needs.
• Own the full product journey, from spotting a problem and understanding stakeholders to planning the work and shipping it to production.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience, ideally in Java with Spring Boot, including years of running scalable microservices in a cloud environment.
• Experience building fast, responsive web apps with React and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Ability to write clean, scalable, testable code, with a good grasp of test coverage, the test pyramid, and code review.
• Experience designing distributed, concurrent systems, and judging the trade-offs between stateful and stateless, and synchronous and asynchronous, designs.
• Ability to split complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value early, with empathy for customers guiding your choices.
• Clear communication, both with non-technical audiences and with distributed cross-functional colleagues.

You will work in a cross-functional team of backend and frontend engineers alongside Product Managers, Analysts, and Designers, with collaboration at the centre of the work.

The team favours automation, programmatic implementation, and reusable design. You will be expected to understand the underlying problems, challenge proposed solutions, and help implement the design, not just work from tickets.

Starting salary is €5750 to €7083.33 gross per month, plus RSUs.
