As a technical lead, you will ship high-quality software and the pipelines that verify it, working across the full stack and the cloud to shape how teams design, test, deploy and monitor systems.

The role asks how you would shorten time-to-value while keeping trust, compliance and resilience intact.

Responsibilities

• Build and run full-stack web apps and RESTful APIs with React and TypeScript/Node.js or Python, choosing architecture that keeps code maintainable, fast and easy for developers to work in.
• Own AWS CDK infrastructure code and design secure, scalable environments across multiple accounts and regions, using IAM, Lambda, ECS/Fargate or EKS, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway and RDS/DynamoDB.
• Build reliable GitHub Actions workflows with reusable actions, staged environment promotion, approval gates, canary releases and automatic rollback.
• Lead testing with Cucumber (Gherkin) for BDD, Playwright for end-to-end and UI tests, and contract tests, treating test code as a core deliverable.
• Build traceability, validation and change records into pipelines so audit-ready GxP evidence is produced automatically without slowing delivery.
• Design and connect systems using Model Context Protocol patterns to orchestrate tools and automation in a safe, visible way.
• Instrument services, define useful SLOs, and create Grafana dashboards and alerts. Cut incidents and mean time to recovery with runbooks and regular review.
• Add secrets management, SAST, DAST, SCA, SBOM generation and policy-as-code checks to protect data.
• Keep the Jira backlog clean, run predictable sprints with clear acceptance criteria, report progress openly and align stakeholders.
• Create templates, golden paths, internal portals and SOPs, run feedback forums and office hours, and drive measurable adoption across the organisation.
• Use AI-enabled practices where they improve engineering results, decisions and ways of working.

Requirements

• Working experience with a modern frontend framework such as React and a backend language such as TypeScript/Node.js or Python, including RESTful API design and integration.
• Hands-on work with AWS CDK and core AWS services: IAM, Lambda, ECS/Fargate or EKS, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway and RDS/DynamoDB.
• Strong record building GitHub Actions workflows, reusable actions and multi-environment promotion with approvals and rollback.
• Practical use of Cucumber (Gherkin), Playwright for E2E/UI, and contract testing, with tests treated as first-class artifacts.
• Working knowledge of GxP expectations for traceability, validation and documented changes, and experience producing audit-ready evidence through pipelines.
• Experience designing and integrating systems with Model Context Protocol (MCP) patterns for tool orchestration and automation.
• Proven use of Jira for backlog hygiene, sprint planning and reporting with clear acceptance criteria.
• Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain complex topics simply and build consensus.
• Nice to have: experience with k6, Gatling or JMeter, profiling and instrumentation, and Grafana dashboards and alerts.
• Nice to have: familiarity with secrets management, SAST/DAST/SCA, SBOM generation and policy-as-code guardrails.
• Nice to have: contributions to templates, golden paths, internal portals and standards, and experience running feedback forums and office hours.
