Description

The company is now part of Salesforce, a CRM provider, and works to help businesses deliver strong customer experiences.

Its AI agent is described as the top-performing AI customer agent on the market. It handles complex customer issues from start to finish across every channel, covering service, sales and ecommerce, runs on the company's own AI models, and needs little setup or integration.

The company's own help desk can be paired with the AI agent, giving support teams one system.

The role is new in the industry and still being defined. You will help set the playbooks and how the team wins and delivers its largest, highest-stakes deals.

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role for a product manager who wants direct time with customers and hands-on time with the product, and who can make progress before every answer is known.

Responsibilities

  • Own outcomes for a group of strategic customers deploying the AI agent. Learn their business, support operation and technical setup well enough that your deployment plan earns trust quickly.
  • Run the full process yourself: pitch and demo, scope the solution, configure it hands-on, including custom development if needed, and clear blockers such as product gaps, integration problems or cross-team issues.
  • Be the AI expert in every customer conversation, so they leave knowing how to get strong results.
  • Work closely with Sales, Success and R&D so each customer experiences one team.
  • Turn field learning into specific, evidence-based product input for the roadmap, not just feature requests.
  • Build reusable deployment patterns, templates and best practices so each new deployment goes faster than the last.
  • Help define what Forward Deployed Product Manager means at the company.
  • Success means customers do well with the AI agent and the product improves from what you learn. This is product management, not solutions engineering, customer success or professional services.

Requirements

  • No minimum years of experience is required. The team looks for impact, drive and potential, shown through the skills below.
  • Customer focus: deep empathy combined with a bias for action, motivated by solving the real problem and delivering measurable results.
  • Communication: you can pitch to executives, then go deep with engineers, adjusting depth and tone for each audience.
  • Technical fluency: you can discuss modern stacks with engineers and customers, from APIs and SaaS infrastructure to LLMs and low-code tools, and you are comfortable onboarding customers onto technical setups.
  • Evidence-based thinking: you use data such as conversation logs, usage and CX metrics to justify deployment plans and roadmap decisions.
  • Cross-functional influence: you move easily across organizational boundaries and bring people together for the best outcome.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: you work well in fast-changing, undefined settings, switching between big-picture strategy and detailed execution.
  • Operational rigor: you stay organized across several deployments and priorities without becoming reactive, and you know when speed matters more than polish.

Conditions

Even better if you have: experience building product for enterprise customers.

Even better if you have: startup or B2B SaaS experience.

Even better if you have: a background in technical consulting, solutions engineering or customer success.
