Sign Up to ReadAbout 1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, yet most providers do not take insurance, which puts therapy out of reach for many people.
The company started by tackling insurance and automated the heavy admin work of credentialing, claims and payment reconciliation.
Today more than 90,000 providers in all 50 states run their practices on its software and have served over 2.6 million patients.
The company is a Series D business with over $325M in funding. It is building tools for therapists to run their whole practice, a new way for people to find a therapist, and the platform foundations to support both at scale, much of it with AI.
New Verticals builds the entry points that bring people into care: doctor referrals, insurer directories and phone calls. These channels already bring a large and growing share of new patients, and much of their potential is still unbuilt. The team is early, and you will help decide what it becomes.
You will lead the engineers behind the referral, payer and phone channels and own the bets that open the next one. You will work daily with two product managers, data science and operations, and directly with health systems and insurers, who move at their own pace. You will report to the head of Patient Engineering, and the team will grow as new channels launch.
The engineering team is small and uses software to change mental healthcare. Its principles are to focus on the mission, ship small and learn fast, treat everything built as a product, and protect trust so engineers can ask questions and talk openly about mistakes.
The stack includes Python 3, TypeScript, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, React, Remix, Next.js, Postgres, Redis, AWS (Fargate, ECS, S3, SageMaker and more), Spark, Kafka, Datadog, PagerDuty, Sentry, GitHub, Snyk, Semgrep and Lacework.
This role suits you if you want to own the first steps into care, build new channels rather than maintain old ones, and see your team's work turn into real patients booking with a therapist.
Base pay is $265,200 to $314,925, depending on factors such as qualifications, experience and geographic location.
The role may also be eligible for performance-based variable pay and an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
Total rewards include health and wellness benefits, retirement savings and equity. Pay decisions weigh the whole picture to stay fair and in line with market benchmarks while recognising individual contribution and potential.
