As a Senior DevOps Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers our services. You’ll work across a variety of exciting projects and complex challenges, helping to deliver core capabilities that have meaningful, real‑world impact.

You’ll bring technical leadership and a proactive mindset, guiding engineers through delivery and engineering challenges to support customer and programme requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on development and actively contribute to the code base, including undertaking peer reviews.
• Design engineering features that support delivery of the product roadmap and clearly articulate design decisions.
• Break down large pieces of work into well‑defined tasks aligned with Agile delivery.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines , taking ownership of build and deployment processes.
• Demonstrate development progress to internal and external customers through clear, confident presentations.

Requirements

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer , with strong skills in CI/CD, containerisation, deployment technologies and cloud platforms (such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, IaC, Docker and AWS).
• Experience in Linux system administration or similar operating systems.
• Understanding of database technologies , such as SQL, Elasticsearch or MongoDB.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills , ideally gained in an agile environment.

• Security Clearance
• Due to the nature of our work, you must be British National for this clearance type.
• You must currently hold the Highest Level of UK Government security clearance .
