Description

You will work as a senior data scientist on the company's data science team, building predictive models, machine learning systems and AI tools for business problems.

You will help set and carry out the team's data science plan, work with other groups to put advanced analytics into use, and coach junior colleagues.

The team works closely with engineering, product, business, finance and analytics groups, covering the whole path from defining a problem to building a solution and reporting results.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out data science strategies, turning business goals into analytical solutions and AI or ML models.
  • Design, build and deploy predictive models, machine learning algorithms and AI solutions.
  • Work with colleagues and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, explore data and build models that produce actionable findings.
  • Test models for validity, reliability and robustness through validation, testing and calibration, then monitor results and refine performance.
  • Explain complex analytical work and findings clearly, linking technical results to business needs.
  • Mentor junior team members and improve data science practice through knowledge sharing, ongoing improvement and trying new methods.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics or a related field.
  • At least five years in a data science role, with strong SQL and Python.
  • Strong data analysis, profiling and statistics skills, with experience using SQL databases and tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Pandas, NumPy, ggplot, Shiny, SciPy, scikit-learn and Matplotlib.
  • Proficiency with machine learning and deep learning algorithms, using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Spark ML, Torch, Hugging Face, Keras, Caffe and CNTK.
  • A solid grasp of cloud computing and experience deploying models on AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • An understanding of model development and a willingness to learn deployment approaches and deepen your experience putting models into operational use.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to pull actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Clear communication, including explaining technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Optional, helpful to have: a collaborative approach and strong relationships across technical and business teams; comfort managing several projects in a fast-paced setting; curiosity about new data science methods; interest in mentoring; prior fintech or software engineering experience; a PhD in computer science, data science, statistics or a related field.

Conditions

Base pay of $130,000 to $170,000 per year, which may vary based on internal factors, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
