Senior Data Center Project Manager - Infrastructure

This senior role leads project management for a large financial client's data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management across several real estate projects, from planning and design through construction, occupancy and closeout.
• Work with clients to shape the scope, delivery resource needs, cost estimates and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
• Set up project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or the qualification process, run complex requests for proposals, evaluate bids, and recommend resources to clients.
• Help build the project charter and integrated timeline.
• Keep all workstreams on schedule and make sure issues are resolved or escalated.
• Run regular meetings to review status on active and pending projects.
• Work with the project team to design solutions and guide them through implementation to completion.
• Bring advanced knowledge to find and build better methods for individual and department goals.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in your own discipline and solid knowledge of other disciplines in the function.
• Coach others until they have deep expertise across most or all areas of the function.
• Model the company's RISE values and lead by example.
• Anticipate objections and win over senior stakeholders whose interests differ, bringing them to a new point of view.
• Influence the outcomes of customer, operational, project and service objectives across multi-discipline teams, within functional policies that shape procedures.
• Help develop new products, processes, standards and operational plans that support functional goals.
• Explain difficult and complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of the role and must be followed where they apply.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 8-10 years of relevant experience. Experience and education together will be considered in place of a degree.
• Experience with critical facilities infrastructure, power distribution, delivery systems, uninterruptible power supply, network and sustainability distribution is highly preferred.
• An innovative approach to building methods that go beyond existing solutions.
• Ability to solve unusual problems with standard and innovative approaches that have a broad business impact.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills and a sharp, inquisitive mindset.

Conditions

This is a remote role that requires travel to client sites.

The team would ideally like someone based in the Twin Cities, Birmingham, Alabama or Chicago, Illinois.

Central Time Zone is preferred, along with the ability to travel.

On-site requirements may change depending on client needs.
