Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Description

The role sits in the IT Risk Management and Security division of a global biopharmaceutical company, where the work protects the systems used to develop new medicines.

The team is agile and global, with members in the US, the Czech Republic and India. The company is upgrading its identity security and privileged access management, including work on securing global manufacturing sites and on access controls for AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment, configuration and launch of a new secrets management platform from the ground up.
• Run and improve the existing privileged access and secrets management systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Work with application, infrastructure and security teams worldwide to remove risks and adopt current standards.
• Connect security tools to automation written in PowerShell and to modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Help define the guardrails for governing AI agents securely within the environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in identity management (IAM/PAM) or infrastructure security in an enterprise setting.
• Hands-on experience administering privileged access tools such as Secret Server, with a working understanding of password rotation, vaulting, secrets management and least-privilege access.
• Practical knowledge of HashiCorp Vault, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID, and experience securing access in a public cloud such as AWS, MS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Ability to connect security systems to automation, for example through PowerShell scripting.
• English good enough for everyday communication and collaboration in a global team.
• Required skills: Design Applications, Information Security, Security Operations, SLA Management, Software Development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), System Designs, Technical Advice, Vulnerability Scanning.
