Senior Civil Designer

Description

The Civil Design team delivers civil infrastructure across defence, energy, water, aviation and transport, and is building digital capability into its delivery. You will have room to grow your skills on current design and information management platforms.

The work is collaborative and connected. You will contribute to local and state-based projects and support multi-office delivery across Australia, alongside people with deep technical knowledge and varied sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced civil design work on your own using 12d, 12d Synergy, AutoCAD, Civil3D and ProjectWise, making sure it meets project requirements and digital delivery standards.
• Prepare and document design packages for earthworks, roadworks, civil site design and drainage, aligned with relevant standards, guidelines and client specifications.
• Manage all or part of a project, keeping design quality high and delivery on time.
• Lead technically and mentor junior designers and modellers, coordinating with engineers, designers, project managers and architects so the project comes together as one.

Requirements

• These items are highly desired rather than essential. You may still be a strong fit without every one, and all applications will be considered.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, codes and guidelines for civil design.
• A track record delivering civil design across several disciplines and project types, ideally in consulting or complex delivery.
• Strong skill in 12d, 12d Synergy, AutoCAD, Civil3D and ProjectWise, and a team-oriented way of working.
• A firm commitment to high-quality technical output, with clear communication and the ability to engage well with internal teams and stakeholders.

Conditions

Hybrid work is available, with alternative start and finish times and job-sharing options. You can work from an office, remotely or at a client site.
