Senior Backend Engineer

The team is scaling the Auth, Users, Roles and Audit capabilities that sit under the company's core products, serving some of the largest organizations in the world.

The team is looking for experienced back-end engineers for the Core Command group.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable control planes and core data primitives used across all the company products.
• Build distributed systems that handle heavy traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices installed worldwide.
• Launch new services within a microservices architecture.

Requirements

• Hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Have 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Have built and scaled access systems used by millions of people globally.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• Be highly proficient in Python or Go, or both.
• Have worked with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.
• Have worked with key-value stores such as Redis or Memcached.
• Have used distributed queueing with Kafka and caching with Redis or Memcached.
• Have worked with a cloud provider such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Have experience with React.
• Have experience with gRPC and API specifications.
• Be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.

Conditions

Onsite work five days per week is required.

The company will sponsor employment visas for this role and will take over existing sponsorships. If an offer is made, it will make every reasonable effort to secure a visa.

Starting pay is set by work location, skills, experience, market demand and internal parity. Estimated annual base pay is $160,000 - $260,000 USD.
