Description

The team sells cybersecurity products, and this role is a technical advisor on accounts in Germany, covering the full technical relationship with each customer.

The role sits in the Workspace Security organization, which protects users, endpoints, applications, email and data from advanced cyber threats.

You will act as a technical authority for customers, prospects, partners and the sales organization, designing solutions, leading technical evaluations and helping customers strengthen their endpoint security strategy.

This is a highly customer-facing role that calls for technical depth, competitive knowledge, executive-level communication and ownership of complex opportunities from discovery through technical closure.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Present the company's technology vision and value proposition to audiences from executives to hands-on practitioners.
  • Drive meetings and influence decisions through presentations, product demos and technical discussions with people from CISO level down to practitioners.
  • Provide thought leadership and put the customer's best interest first.
  • Keep up with the latest product features, benefits and competitive positioning, and use market knowledge in your work.
  • Use available tools and resources to track whitespace and keep the install base data accurate, so you can expand existing product lines and add new ones.
  • Build strategic technical account plans that cover solutions across platforms.
  • Coordinate supporting resources so the customer gets one coordinated team working toward a defined outcome.
  • Work with Solutions Architects, Specialists, Customer Success Managers, Product Management and Engineering across the customer journey.
  • Take on special Solutions Engineering projects assigned by management.
  • Keep building your technical and professional skills, and take part in the SE community and industry events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in sales, solutions or systems engineering, or pre-sales.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid grasp of networking and security principles and typical customer architectures.
  • Ability to design and explain an end-to-end security solution for a customer environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, CCSA or CCSE are highly preferred.
  • Able to travel up to 50%, including international trips.
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English, spoken and written.
