Description

The classified solutions team of the company is hiring a Manager Cybersecurity 1 to lead a group of information system security professionals.

The team supports security missions by providing insight and secure technology for strategic goals, across a broad range of secure, integrated, multi-domain systems.

You will join a group of innovators, whether you are early in your field or already a recognised expert, with access to a wide network and room to build your skills.

You need a varied background in securing classified information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals who assess systems and networks inside a secure enclave.
  • Set up and run strict program controls that reduce risk and support system Assessment and Authorization (A&A), including process support, analysis, coordination, security certification testing, documentation, investigations, software and hardware research and release, emerging technology research, inspections and periodic audits.
  • Lead the adoption of required government policy, such as DAAG, JSIG and ICDs, to keep the team compliant.
  • Recommend tailored process changes and manage the documents and execution of process activities.
  • Analyse whether security requirements are valid, and recommend further requirements and safeguards.
  • Lead the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) each government accrediting authority requires, from pre-test preparation and testing through result analysis and reporting.
  • Record the results of A&A and inspection work, including technical and corrective actions, and work with the security team to send responses to the right authority. Review each system's audits regularly and make sure every corrective action is fully closed.
  • Build an environment for individual growth, teamwork, performance management, open communication, financial management and resource use.
  • Make sure the team follows company policies and procedures, and that all information is accurate and complete.
  • Work with internal executives, the CIDO Program Management Office and customers on significant technical matters, often coordinating across organisations.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree and 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
  • A current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance, with a closed investigation completed within the last 6 years, or enrolment in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program to be considered. You must keep the clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Meet the U.S. Government 8140 requirement for an Information System Security Manager, Security+. You must keep this certification as a condition of employment.
  • Be able to obtain and keep access to Special Access Programs as a condition of employment.
  • Preferred: current CISSP certification.
  • Preferred: experience with RMF or other cybersecurity compliance frameworks.

Conditions

Full-time, on-site work at the Rolling Meadows, IL campus. No virtual or telecommute options are available because of the classified work.

Travel is required for 10% of the time.

Clearance type: Interim Top Secret, required for start.

Relocation assistance may be available.

Base salary range is $115,500.00 to $173,300.00. This is a general guideline, and the offer depends on factors such as the scope of the role and your experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

The application window is estimated at 20 days from the posting date, but it may be shortened or extended based on business needs and candidate availability.

Benefits

  • A 9/80 work schedule and flexible work arrangements.
  • Health insurance, life and disability insurance, and a savings plan with a 401k match.
  • Paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal business.
