SAP Security Leader/Architect

The company makes memory and storage solutions and is a semiconductor industry leader.

This role owns the enterprise SAP security vision and roadmap for a hybrid landscape covering S/4HANA, NetWeaver, HANA, SAP BTP and SaaS platforms.

You act as the go-to technical expert, turning business risk into sound architecture, tighter controls, AI-led automation and measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction, standards and multi-year roadmap for SAP security across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Design and deliver secure-by-default solutions for S/4HANA, HANA, SAP BTP, Ariba, Fieldglass, integrations, APIs and cloud-hosted workloads, using AI where it fits.
• Improve identity and access governance using SAP GRC, RBAC, segregation of duties, privileged access management, IAS and IPS.
• Build cyber resilience through risk assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability management, security monitoring and SAP incident response.
• Build SOX, ITGC, privacy and regulatory controls into programs, releases, access reviews, testing and audit preparation.
• Turn business needs and complex security risks into workable architectures, clear decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Lead SAP security on major initiatives, upgrades and transformations, from planning through implementation to handover to operations.
• Act as the trusted SAP security authority for executives and global partners, driving automation, stronger security benchmarks, faster provisioning and continuous improvement through AI-enabled work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8-10+ years of IT security experience, including 5+ years in SAP security architecture.
• Led at least two successful S/4HANA transformations.
• Deep expertise securing SAP on-premises and cloud systems: S/4HANA, NetWeaver, SAP BTP, SaaS, GRC, IAS, IPS, authorization concepts, transport security and integration security (APIs, OAuth, SAML, Cloud Connector).
• Proven experience leading SAP security strategy, GRC architecture, access governance, ITGC compliance, security audits, risk assessments, key controls, remediation plans and important metric development.
• Strong executive presence to influence senior leaders, auditors, risk partners and global teams, explaining complex technical risk in business terms.
• Thought leadership, independence and problem-solving, with a record of driving central initiatives, automation, continuous improvement and data-driven decisions, delivering results in demanding environments.
• Preferred: knowledge of and integration experience with multiple SAP technologies, HANA preferred.
• Preferred: relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or SAP Certified Technology Professional.
