SAP iXp Intern - Agile Developer, Business Data Cloud

Description

The company is SAP, and the team is Business Data Cloud, which builds a cloud-native platform combining analytics, planning and business intelligence for hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide.

You are enrolled in a Computer Science or Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution and enjoy building real software in a cloud-native, team-based setting.

SAP is a leader in enterprise applications and business AI, with more than 50 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Build new product features for the Business Data Cloud platform.
• Write automated tests that check feature quality and catch regressions early.
• Maintain and improve the existing codebase as the product changes.
• Take part in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Show your work through code reviews and sprint demos with your team.
• Work with designers, product managers and engineers to ship product improvements.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript or Java, or a strong drive to build those skills.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and how distributed systems operate.
• A solid understanding of core data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
• A focus on the customer, with care for product quality and the end-user experience.
• Openness to working with AI tools, including agentic AI, to automate everyday tasks, prototype ideas and build confidence in AI-assisted work from day one.

Conditions

This is a full-time, on-site internship of 40 hours per week, running January 4 to August 31, 2027, at SAP Labs Vancouver.

The salary range is listed in the posting. The final offer falls within that range and depends on education, skills, experience, location and role scope, decided through the selection process.

Functional English is required for positions based in Quebec, given global work with SAP entities and stakeholders in Canada.
