Sales Engineer - End Customer

Description

You will drive national business growth in France by planning and running strategic work on a set of major end customers, alongside the End Customer team of key account managers, architect and engineering managers, sales engineers and EMEA colleagues.

You will help major customers shape their project requirements and make the company the preferred supplier to technical decision-makers.

The job is based in Paris. It includes domestic travel and occasional visits to the company's headquarters in Lund, Sweden.

Responsibilities

• Find out what customers need and design tailored solutions that get the most from the company's offerings.
• Advise customers and colleagues as a trusted solutions expert.
• Shape major tenders and new projects so the company is well placed to win.
• Present the technology and run technical demonstrations that show its value.
• Build plans with key account managers to strengthen the company's position with selected customers.
• Build lasting relationships with technical decision-makers across your portfolio.
• Work with global and local technology partners to stay current with the market.
• Understand complete solutions, covering networking, analytics, software, hardware and services.
• Monitor competitors and steer customers toward the best technical option.
• Encourage pilots and proofs of concept to speed up deals.
• Run tailored training sessions for customers' technical decision-makers.
• Represent the company at internal and external industry events.
• Complete the internal training programme to keep your knowledge current.

Requirements

• A degree in computer science or engineering is preferred.
• At least 5 years in a similar role in the physical security market.
• Pre-sales experience and experience working directly with complex organisations on B2B projects.
• Strong knowledge of network technologies.
• Confidence in demonstrating complex solutions.
• Solid analytical, business and organisational skills.
• Curiosity, creativity and a real interest in technology.
• Fluent French and professional English.
• Experience with VMS and/or PSIM software is a plus.
