Description

About the Role

Build the edge-to-cloud infrastructure that connects, updates, and monitors deployed robot fleets. You will work across on-device software, cloud systems, and fleet observability, partnering with robotics, autonomy, hardware, deployment, and web product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production-grade C++ and Go software running on robotic platforms.
  • Build on-device systems for robotics software integration, local data buffering, and edge communications.
  • Design and operate secure, low-latency data pipelines between robot fleets, cloud infrastructure, and web platforms.
  • Build reliable over-the-air software update systems for robots deployed in the field.
  • Create telemetry, logging, alerting, monitoring, and fleet dashboard capabilities across device and cloud systems.
  • Improve software reliability, performance, resource use, resilience, fleet uptime, and observability.
  • Collaborate across hardware and software teams to deliver features powered by real-time robot data.

Requirements

  • Three to ten years of experience in robotics or IoT infrastructure engineering, including embedded or edge-device work.
  • Production experience with C++ and Go, and a track record of building systems from the ground up.
  • Experience developing edge-to-cloud pipelines, deploying OTA updates, and building fleet telemetry and monitoring tools.
  • Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or GCP, Terraform, and Docker.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols such as MQTT, gRPC, or WebSockets.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects involving hardware and software, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
  • A computer science or related degree is a plus.
