Research Scientist Digital Process Development (m/f/x)

Description

The role focuses on digital process development for making microchips smaller, faster and more energy efficient.

Microchips made with the company's technologies are used in most of the world's electronics, from smartphones to smart factories.

The company is a leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build digital processes that evaluate and improve optical components.
• Create fully automated solutions for a modern production environment.
• Move processes into production, support them over time, and help approve and release development results.
• Own the technical side of the full process chain and keep track of how its parts depend on and connect to each other.
• Lead smaller projects and direct specialist teams.

Requirements

• A top-level university degree in a STEM subject.
• Strong programming skills in modern software architecture, ideally gained on large software projects.
• Knowledge of technical optics and optical metrology is a plus.
• A strong focus on customers and manufacturing, plus creativity, persistence and initiative.
• A confident manner, strong negotiation skills, and a structured way of working within a team.
• Business-level fluency in German and English.
