Description

The company is an applied AI lab that builds end-to-end software agents and makes Devin, an AI software engineer.

The founding team includes competitive programmers, former founders, and people who have worked at leading AI, data, and tech companies.

The company is at an early stage, with its hardest problems still ahead, and is working on AI that can reason through real-world tasks.

This is an in-office role in London on the EMEA Talent team, owning top-of-funnel hiring across the region with recruiters and hiring managers.

The job is to build an outbound sourcing engine: mapping markets, using networks, going where strong people gather, and turning cold prospects into engaged candidates. Success is measured by pipeline quality, not volume.

Responsibilities

  • Lead outbound sourcing for EMEA hiring priorities, mainly technical roles.
  • Create detailed talent maps covering enterprise software, AI, developer tools, cloud, infrastructure, and fast-growing tech companies.
  • Calibrate on profiles early with recruiters and hiring managers, then adjust quickly using feedback and conversion data.
  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, Boolean and X-ray search, GitHub, and communities, and build your own creative approaches to reach people others overlook.
  • Mine referrals systematically across team, investor, and alumni networks to find warm introductions to strong candidates.
  • Plan, host, and attend recruiting events, meetups, and networking gatherings, and convert them into qualified pipeline.
  • Write concise, personal outreach that presents the company's story clearly, credibly, and with energy, and keep testing what works.
  • Engage passive candidates, run first-call qualifying screens, and pass recruiters warm, qualified candidates with full context.
  • Track top-of-funnel metrics such as response rate, pass-through rate, and source of hire, and use them to improve pipeline quality.
  • Build and maintain talent pools in Ashby for current and future roles.
  • Share what works with international talent leadership and help build repeatable sourcing capability across EMEA.

Requirements

  • Proven sourcing experience at fast-growing tech companies, preferably for technical roles.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise software, SaaS, AI, infrastructure, developer tools, or cloud markets.
  • Expert use of modern sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Juicebox, and a habit of trying new ones, especially AI-powered tools.
  • Confidence running first-call qualifying screens and selling the role to passive candidates.
  • Strong at finding people through communities, events, content, referrals, and networks, not only databases.
  • Able to write short, personal, compelling outreach that gets replies.
  • Experience sourcing in several EMEA markets and an understanding of local market conditions.
  • Comfortable with funnel data and using it to make improvements.
  • Able to partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers, including pushing back and calibrating.
  • High agency, high ownership, and careful attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a fast-changing, zero-to-one environment.
  • You improve the system while doing the work.
  • Based in London or willing to relocate there, and able to work from the London office.

Conditions

In-office role based in London.

Equal opportunity employer: no discrimination on any protected characteristic under applicable law. Reasonable accommodations are available during hiring; applicants with criminal histories are considered in line with the SF Fair Chance Ordinance and similar local laws.
